Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti has 23,000 students; 18,000 are undergraduates. It offers bachelors’, masters’, and specialist degrees, as well as three doctoral degrees (in educational leadership, clinical psychology, and technology). A three-year Advanced B.A. is offered for selected majors and qualified applicants. Many certificates and bachelors’ and masters’ degrees can be completed through online courses. EMU also provides nontraditional learning opportunities, including corporate and continuing education and study abroad.
Eastern froze its tuition and fees for the 2010-2011 year, maintaining the previous year's levels. Undergraduate tuition and fees for 2010-2011 are $8,377 for residents of Michigan and Ohio and $22,282 for nonresidents. Graduate tuition and fees are $8,370-$11,004 for Michigan and Ohio residents and $15,514-$20,718 for nonresidents.
